Birds

I'm on the Petite Cote right now, in a house on the coast south of Dakar. Some other Tostan people and I are here for about five days, updating and editing the Tostan literacy module. It's pretty cool to be working on something that will soon be used in villages all over Africa.

Another good reason to be here rather than Dakar (besides the food, ocean, and fresh air): there is so much more wildlife! I'm a bit of a bird nerd, and have been enjoying our new neighbors, a colony of dozens of village weaver nests:
