Kids are always the easiest to get to know when language is a problem, since they communicate just about as effectively through play. Plus, digital cameras are a good way to make instant friends. So here are some pictures of village kids:




(The girl on the right in white here and in the first picture is deaf. She seems to get on fairly well, and communicated by slapping me lightly and signing. I can sign some in American sign language and saw a few signs I recognized, but I think that was coincidental; she was probably doing a combination of French sign and made-up signs.)
